The mission of Alofoug College nursing program is to provide an innovative education, research, practice, community service, and leadership that improve national and global health.
Program Objectives:
To qualify nurses who are able to give holistic nursing care in any health setting to individuals, families, and communities at all care levels with concepts of health promotion & maintenance and improvement of the quality of life in the country.
Demonstrate the awareness of a positive attitude towards research and understand the importance of evidence-based research in developing nursing science and nursing profession.
Develop his/her career by continuous gaining of new knowledge and skills.
To contribute to research-based practice in order to improve quality of nursing care.
To prepare nurses who can work and collaborate with health team.
To prepare nurses who integrate ethics and give holistic nursing care.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the program the graduate will be able to:
Provide basic nursing services, which include health promotion, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to individuals, families, specific population groups and to communities, at any health services level.
Work and collaborate with health team and provide guidance to improve health care delivery.
Recognize and manage simple and common health problems in the community and refer the cases to the appropriate health facility.
Apply professional ethics and values for nursing in performing day-to-day functions.
Demonstrate the awareness of a positive attitude towards research and understand the importance of evidence-based research in developing nursing science and nursing profession.
Develop his/her career BY continuous gaining of new knowledge and skills.
Carry out health education activities for individuals and groups in community and in any care setting.
Use problem solving approach in performing nursing function.
Work effectively as member of the primary community health care team for promotion & maintenance of health, and prevention of diseases among individuals and community.
