Program Objectives:

The B.A in English program comprises a broad range of courses which are designed to:
  1. Develop student's competence in the four language skills and communication.
  2. Provide students with the basic skills of written translation.
  3. Provide students with the necessary training to become professional translators and efficient multi-purpose writers.
  4. Develop, through linguistic and literary studies, student's knowledge of the processes of critical thinking and writing.
  5. Expose students, through literature courses, to the English-speaking cultures which provide them with authentic learning environment.
  6. Provide students with an effective combination of teaching and practice to acquire a working proficiency in English language.
